In this project, we got into our group of four and learned about ecology. Our group had to make a presentation about a certain ecosystem or organism and explain their habit and why they endanger. Also, we had to do something in order to help the organism like raise awareness or plant a tree.
Content:
-Organization of ecology: Population, Community, Ecosystem, and Biosphere.
-Tropic Levels: Producer, Primary Consumer, Secondary Consumer and Top level Consumer.
-Photosynthesis: 6CO2+6H2O--Light>C6H12O6+6O2
-Cellular Respiration: C6H12O6-->> 6CO2+6H2O+ ATP
-10% rule: only 10% of the energy gets passed down to the next level.
-Human Impact: We cause specific greenhouse gasses to get trapped in the atmosphere and keep the heat in which creates a blanket.
-Independent: Affects population regardless of population density
-Dependent: Only affects population if the population reaches a certain density.
- Abiotic: Not living
-Biotic: Anything that is living
-Carbon Cycle: How carbon gets into the atmosphere and where it come from.
My group and I did our project on Red Pandas. We discovered that they were endanger and we wanted to help. So the class spent days learning about the ecosystem and carbon cycle, which prepared us for our project. The group I had was not the best, most of my classmates including me were not focused and was not doing our best on the project. A challenge we had was that we tried to make a PSA video but didn't have time because we decided to waste our project work day and not work. Overall, this was not my favorite project because of my group mates and I was not interested in the content.
