In this project we had to pick two systems and make a model that demonstrates how the systems work together and separately. Then we had to make a presentation to teach the class about our system. Down below is how our project turned out.
My partner and I did the Excretory System. Our project works by putting water (blood) into the two soda bottle (kidneys). Then, the water will get filter and then go through the tubes (ureter). Which then travels to the bladder.
Content:
Digestive System:
It digests the food and extracts the nutrients in the food. It works and functions by using muscles to move the food through your body. It contains all four major tissue types: Epithelial, Connective, Muscle and Nervous. It contains many types of cells, such as goblet cells. It's organized by the different organs, which include the mouth, esophagus, stomach, and large and small intestines.
Excretory System
Blood from the vein and artery goes to the kidneys. The kidneys filter the blood by taking out unnecessary liquid. The excess liquid travels through the ureter, then into the bladder which holds urine. Then releases the liquid when needed through the Urethra
Conclusion:
In this project, out group split up into pairs. My partner and I did the Excretory System and the other half of our group did the digestive system. I felt that we had a hard time communicating and since out system worked differently there was no way to communicate. Also, I think my partner and I could have done more research. We were clueless on the types of cells and tissue. Overall, I think our group did well on this project , if we could go back and redo I would pick different systems and spend more time on research.
I worked on this project with Alexis Bishop, Juan Castaneda, and Cais.
